*All Saints Church, Deganwy*
All Saints Church, Deganwy, a Grade II* listed building, will be open to
visitors on Saturday *September 14th, 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m*. as part of the
Civic Trust for Wales’s Open Doors. This beautiful Victorian church was
designed by architect John Douglas, who designed about 500 buildings in
Cheshire, North Wales, and northwest England.* *
All Saints is a memorial church built for Lady Augusta Mostyn in 1898. It
is dedicated to her parents the Earl and Countess of Abergavenny on a site
at the foot of the Vardre, overlooking the Conwy estuary.
The church also has two War Memorials commemorating local men killed in the
two World Wars. Is your relative named on the memorials?
Do you have a relative who was baptised or married in All Saints? The
baptism and marriage registers will be available on the day.
The church has ample car parking and a visit to the church can be followed
by a walk on the Vardre.
