The 'Scotland Street' Book , published by the Llanrwst Historical Society will be
launched on Sunday in Gwydir Park Llanrwst. Of interest to those researching this area
will be the memories of folk who grew up there in the early 1900's and the housing
census for 1930's. As the street no longer exists as such this is an invaluable tool
and an insight into the social history of this tight knit community. The book (80pp
stories, old photographs, maps and street plans) will be on sale for £6 . For further
details please email me off list.

Hi Patricia,
I am hopefully coming to Llanrwst in October to see the places where my
maternal grandparents were born and lived before they left for the USA in
1912. While I am there I would love to see some of the things written by
the Llanrwst Historical Society, do you have a room or building where
historical items are located? Also, do you know of any inns or bed and
breakfasts located in the center of town? My husband and I will be coming
on the train and will not be renting a car. Though I think some of my
relatives who still live in the area will probably drive us around.
Thank you,
Nancy Griffith Priegel
