Hi
In 1891 they are all together
Elizabeth Senior; son Oliver Senior and daughter Bertha Senior with Sam Pulman as a
lodger
In 1901 Sam and Elizabeth get married, aged 54 and 45 respectively ! and the day before
the census !
On the census they record the children [now 21 and 18] as Oliver S. Pulman and Bertha S.
Pulman.
The romantic in one might suggest that this was going to be the only opportunity they
could declare themselves as the family they always had been
All the correspondance I have read from Sam to his brothers describes the O and B as his
children.
When Bertha dies in a tragic accident a few years later it is clear he is distraught over
HIS girls death
When Oliver gets married he is named as father.
I can't prove it but I am getting pretty near to believing it.
