I'm trying (desperately!) to discover more about William Williams, christened in
Llandegla on September 11th 1805.
I believe his parents were William Williams & Margaret who were not married in the
parish.
He married a Mary Douglas (various spellings) in London in 1828 and had one child called
Thomas Robinson Williams in 1829.
He committed suicide in October 1839 (shot himself) in a Lambeth pub.
He had two brothers, one who had committed suicide by poison before 1839 and another who
had been in Bedlam before going to a Private Lunatic Asylum in Bethnall Green.
I believe his father was a William Williams christened in Llandegla in 1787, who had a
sister called Elizabeth. Elizabeth married Thomas Robinson and his (Thomas') sister
Mary was the mother of Mary Douglas, William William's (born 1805) wife.
Far too many Williams for my liking!
Graham Price has been helping me a lot, but perhaps someone reading this can throw more
light on the subject
Thanks in advance, any ideas/thoughts will be welcomed.
