I'm fairly sure there's a current name spelt Burslem - at least if memory
serves, that's the spelling. I used to know someone with that surname in
Wales but am not sure if it was her own name or her married name .
Might this be an odd spelling of the same name or even a mistranscription of
that name by someone who wasn't sure how to spell it?
Just a suggestion.
