Even if you have not checked out the online wills, you and your brother have probably
looked at the relevant originals at the library itself. (I suppose they do strictly
speaking fall into the category "Church records" mentioned in your last
message.) But just in case not, and anyway for the record and the benefit of future
researchers reading this thread, here are links to four wills/administrations which I have
spotted during a cursory -- rather than exhaustive -- check. The 1747 one may or may not
be anything to do with the same family; interesting coincidence of rare forename, anyway.
Admon of personal estate of John Foulkes of Tan y Gaer [mis-scheduled as "Tan u
Gaer"] Llanefydd gent. granted at St Asaph 16 Aug. 1720 to Richard Davies of
Abergeley yeo., Gwen Ffoulkes of Tan y Gaer wid., David Hughes of Meriadog yeo. and Edward
Ffoulkes of Tan y Gaer afsd. ge[nt.]. (Valuation only £27 17s, but very full inventory.):

SA/1720/27
Will of Ellin Pierce of Tan y Gaer Llanefydd wid. proved at St Asaph 26 Mar. 1722 by
Edward Ffoulkes (son-in-law and residuary legatee of testatrix).

SA/1722/70
Admon of personal estate of Llowarch Foulkes of Llanyfydd yeoman granted at St Asaph 24
Aug. 1747 to Thomas Jones, principal creditor (who executed the bond by making his mark),
and anor.:

SA/1747/69
Will of Edward Foulkes of Tan y gaer Llanefydd gent. proved at St Asaph 6 Oct. 1755 by
Jane Ffoulkes wid. (Testator recites names of children in exercising power of charge
created by 1716 marriage settlement.)
