Brian, this would be PANTASAPH near Holywell, Flintshire, about 10 miles from St.Asaph.
It's a
centre for religous institutions....monastery, nunnery etc.
Cheers,
Ken Hall

Hello,
I'm researching McLEAN from Stornoway, then Lamlash (Arran - where a
HAMILTON joined the family) and later Glen Urquhart and Kilmorack; and
MENMUIR from Luthermuir/Marykirk/Laurencekirk and later Kiltarlity and
Beauly. One of my McLEANs married a DICHMONT and moved to Oswaldtwistle,
Lancs then to South Africa.
One of the family, Mary Gertrude DICHMONT, was reportedly sent to a convent
at a very early age. She was said to be at *Pantrasept* near St.Asaph.
My elderly Newnes Gazetteer doesn't list Pantrasept nor can I identify
anywhere like that in the immediate St.Asaph area. Would anyone have any
suggestions as to where the convent was located and/or which convent it may
have been?
TIA
Brian
