Hello Listers,
I'm trying to trace a couple William and Hannah Roberts who lived Tyddyn
Roe, St. Asaph - around 1878.
Question - is Tyddyn Roe the name of a house or a place. The place of on
the marriage certificate states Roe for William Roberts and Tyddyn Roe for
Harriet Hughes.
They were married at Bodlondel Methodist Chapel, Abergele in 1879.
Can anyone tell me if the chapel is still standing?

Hi Audrey
'Tyddyn Roe' would be the name of house/smallholding. It is not listed in
the Postal Address File database of the Royal Mail but this doesn't mean
that the address does not exist at present. You could try scanning the 1881
census 'As enumerated' microfiche covering St. Asaph for the location of
'Tyddyn Roe' or maybe a volunteer could search for the name on CD-ROM for
you.
'The Roe' is a district in St. Asaph.
The name of the chapel would be 'Bodlondeb'.
