My name is Lynda from Toronto Canada.
My mother is Alwyn Williams from Manchester. I have had problems trying to
research my mum's side of the family. She is learning how to use a computer
and should be able to start research on her family.
I am not asking for a lookup as my mum has Jones, Evans, Eddowes and
William's background from Wales.
Could I leave some information with the list, in case when you are
researching.....something might ring a bell.
I have just apply for my grandfather's death certificate. He died before
1970 however I hope to confirm the village, he is from.
John Williams married Elizabeth Hannaway in Denbighshire in approx. 1879
John worked as a coal miner. He died around 1893.
One of John's relatives with a last name of Williams worked as a game keeper
in Derwen Forest.
Elizabeth moved the family from ? Ruthin? in 1894 to Manchester so my
grandfather could work as a turner in the textile industry. He was 14 at the
time.
My grandfather name is James Henry Williams born Dec 1879 and died Dec 1955.
MY grandmother's mother Jane Eddowes lived in Cricelth at one time.
She orginally married a Lloyd and had 2 sons.
Her husband Ted Lloyd died young and she remarried my grandfather James or
John Evans. They emigrated to the States and died there.
Nana was born in Dec 1881 in Wrexham. Her name was Lizzie Evans. She died in
1973 in Manchester.
I hope to get a lead with the death certificate.
Any suggestions?
Lynda from Canada

Wales
from the US (fees, International Coupons), but this is what I know
regarding
this line in my husband's family. I'm including only the Wales ties.
Future generations worked in coal mining and steel in the US. I'd love to
hear from anyone doing research on this family so we can stay in touch as I
go.
