Hi Joan
I have just found out some information on my Lloyd connection...not alot but
some......Could you please read my email and see if there is a connection?
The Lloyd family listed below is related to our family.
Jane Lloyd is my great grandmother. Her maiden name is Eddowes.
Harriet Eddowes Lloyd is Grandma Jane's sister.(Great Aunt)
William Lloyd is my mum's great uncle.
Great Grandma Jane remarried and left Wrexham for Manchester.
She bought her two boys with her to Manchester.
Mom remembers meeting her 2 uncles in Manchester. Uncle Ed and William
Henry.(The two nephews listed below)
My mother is not sure however she believes Grandma Jane's first husband is
Edward/Ted? He died around 1879.
Have you run across these names before. If so, we have a picture of our
Great Grandmothers Jane Lloyd in the 1860s
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.

Subject: [DEN] William LLOYD - Gresford

Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to find the bpt/parents of William LLOYD, a miner, born
Gresford
1810/1811. He married Jane SMITH in 1836 in Sedgley, Staffs. Their children
were Mary, Elizabeth, William, Henry, Ann, David and Jane - twins, Hannah &
John.
In 1841 there was also a John LLOYD in the household, age 21 - possibly
William's brother?
I cannot find a suitable William on the IGI but I found a John bpt.1820 at
the Wesleyan Methodist, Wrexham - son of David LLOYD & Elizabeth WEAVER.
>From the Wrexham page at Genuki it would seem that this is one of two
Wesleyan registers whose baptisms appear on the IGI but they do not begin
early enough for William -1813 & 1818.
Please - can someone tell me whether there were earlier registers? or
suggest where I might find David/Elizabeth at an earlier date.
I have thought of ordering the CLWYD FHS transcript for Gresford but it
only
has bpt. to 1810 - before I order the fiche would someone please be kind
enough to look for any William LLOYDs 1810/1811.
Many thanks,
Joan Colbourne
