Hello Alwyn
I wrote to the list to inquire if there is a particular place in Wales that
the name Alwyn comes from.
I have discovered that my mum's family is from outside Wrexham. (Lloyds,
Eddowes and Evans)
However my mum's name is Alwyn. She saids that there is another way to spell
the girls name.
Is Alwyn a popular name in Wales?
Thank you Lynda from Canada
PS Alwyn is not very common here. I have never met another Alwyn.
Thanks

If anybody happens to be researching the Morris family of Bryn Dedwydd
Pentrefoelas, I have some photographs of a couple of the members of the
family. My late mother in law worked there in the 40's and 50's as a
servant
and was given the photographs of her former employers when she left as a
keepsake. I would be happy to pass them on to anybody with an interest.
All the best
Alwyn
