Dear Mary,
We tried to get the Burial Registers for the St. Giles Church in Wrexham, but the
registers for that period are sporadic, there are years missing, in particular the very
year you want. The gap goes from 1645 - 1662. Giles didn't have a burial register,
but the archivist seemed to think that the early enties (1600's) were for St Giles.
These registers weren't attributed to St. Giles, but they were the only registers
in Wrexham going back that far, in particular goes from abt 1813. The only entry in the
registers for EATON was in 1835 when a Gwen EATON was married.
They are written in Latin, but there is a book with the transcriptions in, and I
looked through the index, and did look at the film, but as I can't read Latin, I was
left with the book, and as I said there was only one reference and that was for Gwen.
Hope that this casts some light on the subject!
Regards,
Mavis & Molly.
