Hi Linda, Well that didn't take as long as I thought, here are the family in 1861. Would appear that only Ellen and Robert were born Wales all children look to be born in Liverpool which is where they would have boarded ship for America from.
Census says Robert is a Master Blacksmith employing 5, David is also a Blacksmith.
Address is Great Oxford Street, Liverpool.
Can send image if you would like it.

Dear Linda,
Was having problems finding your family in Wales so looked for a marriage of a David Robert to a Caroline and found the details below, then found them in the place of marriage on the 1871 census and they did have a daughter Ada. If you think this is the family will be happy to see if I can find his parents.
Name: DAVIES, David Robert
Record Type: Marriages
Quarter: June
Year: 1869
District: Liverpool (1837-1924)
County: Lancashire
Volume: 8b
Page: 7
DAVIES, David Robert 1869 June Marriages Liverpool (1837-1924) Lancashire
Phillips, Caroline 1869 June Marriages Liverpool (1837-1924) Lancashire
1871 England Census
Ada Davies abt 1870 Liverpool, Lancashire, England Daughter Liverpool Lancashire
Caroline Davies abt 1849 Pembroke, Wales Wife Liverpool Lancashire
David R Davies abt 1848 Liverpool, Lancashire, England Head Liverpool Lancashire
Jane Roberts abt 1830 Holy Will, Wales Visitor Liverpool Lancashire
Dear Ian, Patricia and Dick
Many thanks for your help so far.
All I have to go on is this young girl's Birth cert showing her being born
in March 1853 in the district of Llanarmon in Yale and her father being a
labourer. It just seems to me that she is more than likely to be living with
her Parents in 1861 when she would have been just 7 yrs. Perhaps if someone
can find her parents in 1871 index it may be possible to backtrack from that
address to see them in 1861.
The address of birth in 1853 shows as "Crown Bach, Llandegla"
Any further help would be much appreciated.
David

Dear One and All
I am hoping that SKS in your listing maybe able to track-down the undermentioned family in the 1861 Census, as I am not having much luck in finding them.
In particular I am looking for a Jannet DAVIES born in March 1853 @ Crown Bach, Llandegla to Parents Evan DAVIES and wife Catherine DAVIES nee Lloyd.
I have her Birth cert confirming these details, which would mean that she would be 7 yrs old at the time of the census.
I have been searching on the Ancestry.com website but so far cannot find her.
In 1871 she is showing under the following ref: RG10/5658/F115/P7 as a 18 yr servant.
Your help would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards
David

Did you miss the large warning in block capitals on the home page of FreeBMD?
It states "PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE NOT YET TRANSCRIBED THE WHOLE INDEX."

Any idea where they lived?

I'm not much help on the Wales side of things, however the US censuses of
1900 and 1910 usually note the immigration dates of individuals. If you know if
and where they may have been living around 1900 we could try to locate them in
the US and see if it notes when David and Caroline came over...

Still trying to find information about the above (my maternal great-grandmother). She was born in Newbridge, near Wrexham, c1832. She married a William Pierce (spelling does differ), he was born Wharton, Cheshire c1829. They had three children, Mary Ann born Barrow-in-Furness c1860, William born Southsea, near Wrexham, c1862, and my grandmother Sarah, again born in Southsea, c1870. I cannot find any trace of them other than my grandmother's birth and that in the 1881 Census they lived in Leycett, Staffordshire.
I am particularly interested in trying to find information about Mary Tudor. Could anyone who has access to parish records for Newbridge possibly help? I would be very grateful.
If anyone thinks they could have links with this family I would like to hear from you. My grandmother married James Ince in Bolton, Lancashire c1890.

Can any body give me a nudge in the right direction
I have been trying to trace my great aunt Margaret Davies who was born 1885 in Abergele. In 1901 she was working in the market vaults as a servant Mary Owen was the head of the family.
A cousin in Australia told me she married and went to Patagonia, I have sent for three wedding certificates with no luck, as I dont have her married name.( Ihave got up to 1906 looking for her married certificate all her family stayed in Abergele so thats where I have been looking on the 1837 on line site)
How can I find her married name and when I come to wales this year where should I be looking to find her and the details of her journey to Patagonia, I have found a few sites but they tell of the history of the welsh in Patagonia, surely they must be some documents in Wales somewhere, can you leave Wales for distant shores, with no footprints left behind.
Thanks Valerie
