Good Morning,
I wonder if there is anyone on the list who has access to the 1861 Census
for Llangernyw? I would very much appreciate it if some kind soul could do
a look-up for me.
I am looking for Richard Parry and his family. Richard was born in
Llangernyw about 1859-60.
I am having his marriage registration looked up by a researcher but am too
impatient to wait.....I guess patience is not my best virtue:-) I would
really like to find Richard in both the 1861 and 1871 census but thought I
would try for the 1861....he likely has siblings and the census will give
me that information.
Thank you so much,
Linda Herman

Hello,
I am new to this list having just found an ancestor from Wrexham. I have a
Mary ROBERTS born 1853 in Wrexham, Denbighshire, her father was John ROBERTS a collier.
She was married on 9th August 1876 to Edward WINDER in Barrow in Furness, Lancs.
I do not know anything else about her and wondered if anyone knew of her, or could tell me how to find out more.
There is a John Roberts in Wrexham Regis, a collier, on the 1881 Census, but Mary's marriage certificate says he is deceased in 1876.
Hoping for some help,
Thank you

Hello,
My great grandfather was Richard Parry born about 1859 in Llangenyw or
Llanelian. In 1881 he was in Liverpool training to be a bank clerk. He
married Ellen Mary Elizabeth Jones about 1882 and they lived in Celyn HIll,
Llangernui, Flint Count. In 1901 they were living in Ffestiniog.
Richard and Ellen had children John Norman b.c. 1883, Richard Neville b.
1886, Elizabeth E. May b.c. 1888 and Cyril b. after 1891.
If anyone is familiar with this family I would very much like to find the
family of origin of Richard Senior.
Regards,
Linda Herman

Ian,
I don't know much more than was in the first posting. Apparently John
Parry was a seaman before becoming a farmer in Llanpatrick, near Amlwch.
I know a little more about his wife Anne Thomas, whose line traces back
to Collwyn Ap Tangno.
I have tried to research the Parrys of Aberdaron but just couldn't ort
them out. There is some reason that the couple went from Caern. to
Anglesey and the only thing I can think of is that he had family there.
I do know there were a fair number of them there in Llanpatrick and
vicinity.
I have also tried to find John Parry on the WILLPERF database at
worldconnect, rootsweb.com (that database repeats some of Griffith's
Pedigrees). Again, he is entered as the husband of Anne Thomas but
beyond that I can't sort it out. I would love to know what you may
suspect, as it might give me some leads.
Betty

Subject: [GWYNEDD] Parry/Prichard and Aberdaron
Dear Betty and the rest of the list,
I am interested in a long line of alternating Henry Prichards and Richard
Parrys of Bodrydd, Aberdaron, and later Penycaerau, Aberdaron. Lots of
other family branches come from Aberdaron like Griffith Jones, Siop,
Penycaerau (d1844) whose parents I am not sure about.
Betty's long email made me wonder if anyone else is interested in the
same
names in that parish? I wonder if you could email me John Parry's
(d1726)
details, Betty, as Anel(w)og crops up lots in things I am reading and I
can
keep an eye out for you! I am interested in the last half of the 1600s
now
which is where you seem to be??
