If somebody has access to a an 1891 census covering the Rassau area of
Llangunider Parish, could they please look up the following family? It is
possible that they were still at the Castle Inn.
[entries for relationship, occupation, etc, are guesses based on 1881
returns]
PRICE John, 42; born: Rassau
rel: head; occ: limestone haulier
Price, Catherine, 39; born: Bedwellty
rel: wife; occ: innkeeper
PRICE, Watkin, 19; born: Rassau
rel: son; occ: ?
Other children: Mary (15), Maggie (13), William (10), probably more.
It would also be good to find John Price on the 1871 census, when he would
be around 22, possibly newly married to Catherine, 19, and/or perhaps still
living with his parents, hopefully in the Rassau or surrounding areas. John
would have at least 2 sisters, Sarah A (08), and Jane (04), and hopefully a
few brothers, too.
Any information would be very much appreciated!
Kate.
