heres my first real query:
I have Walter Davies, b: 1831 in Llywel, according to the 1861 census. He
married an Ann Griffiths in December Quarter, 1852, Merthyr Tydfil,
Breconshire Glamorgan Mid Glamorgan, 11a/454. The certificate is on my list
of ones to order.
In 1861 he was listed as an Ag Lab, living in Penylan, St Davids, Brecon.
I cannot find him in 1851 at all. In 1841, there is a possibility

Ann 45 Y
David 20 Y
Walter 10 Y

Although this connection will have to remain tentative until proven.
My questions:
- Can anybody find him in 1851? (Or Ann Grifiths for that matter, born ca.
1832 in Merthyr Cynog).
- Can anybody tell me whether Penylan exists today? I have found it on
oldmaps.com next to Beili Helyg, but couldn't find it on a modern map.
All for now.
