Gwynneth,
I was in Clydach last week travelling the old road from Gilwern to Brynmawr.
I didn't notice an aqueduct and haven't heard of one. However on the other
side of the valley there is what I believe to be a viaduct that carries an
old railway. The arches look very impressive and they can be seen from the
new road when travelling down the valley from Brynmawr.
Best wishes,
John

Subject: CLYDACH, LLANELLI
Good morning,
In the post today I received 2 death certificates giving the address of my
Jones
family. They lived "near the aquaduct" at Clydach, Llanell. Can any
kind person help me with the exact location of this aquaduct, if it still
exists today. The usual map site aren't any help.
And even better does anyone know of a source of photos of this area.
Also poor little Eliza died of burns in 1855 and her certificate has been
signed by
the coroner. Does anyone know if coroner's records from this time
have survived?
TIA
Gwynneth
