Dear Jeannie,
My guess is that "Abbenouthy" is a corruption of an Anglicised misspelling
of the word Aberhonddu, the Welsh name for the town of Brecon. It is
pronounced "Aber-hon-thee".
Llanspyddid is a village and parish about two miles west of Brecon.
Kind regards,
John
