Hi Linden,
Our family has a line that connects to a BUSH family ,originally from
Somerset so I have sent your message to the relevant branch. Contact me off
list if you don't hear from her.
Cheers Delphine in Brisbane

Subject: Bush/?Bryant/?Sims
Can anyone help with my Bush family tree please?
My ggggrandfather, George Bryant Bush came to Australia in the early
1860's,
with ?half brother or brother, Arthur Bush. George Bryant Bush
being one of at least three children born to John Bush and Hannah Bryant in
Radstock, Somerset. His siblings were Sarah Bryant Bush - who may have died
at age 3, and John Bryant Bush. This seems to be where our story began -
from what marriage certificates say.
The children were born in the late 1830's to early 1840's, GBB born around
1843 if his certificate is correct. Whether Hannah Bryant Bush passed away,
we are unsure, but, the family moved to Wales, where, at least 2 other
children were born - Arthur and Frank.
On George Bryant's marriage certificate, he lists his parents as John Bush
and
Hannah Bryant.
On Arthur's marriage certificate, he lists his parents as John
Bush and
Anna Sims.
Are Hannah and Anna actually the same person - or, are George and Arthur
half
brothers or even cousins?
My family have been hitting brick walls at every turn, and have just about
given up
- but, that something has me wanting to find out more. Can anyone
help please? Are there records available after the 1881 census?
I found Anna, 71 widowed butcher - Radstock Somerset with granddaughter
Ann E. A.
born Brecknock Wales.
John, 44 married to Ellen butcher - Radstock Somerset
Frank, 30 married to Jane butcher/publican - born Llanelly, Brecknock,
Wales
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you
Lin (nee Bush)
