THANK YOU ALL
Both my Cousin Shirley and my self would like to thank everbody who helped
two fellow resurchers locate part of their dificult to find wandering family
ancesters.
Both of us are handecaped in that we are unable to travel other than by E
Mail.
Following replies from around the Globe we have been able to fit a few more
LARGE pices of the Jigsaw to gether.
Shirley and Michael
According to the wedding certificate, our Ann Williams father was -
Benjamin Williams, a labourer - and one of the witnesses was a
William Williams [of which there are over 2000 on the Rootsweb BMD's-
!!!!!]. The other was a Marriunn? [maybe Maryann?] Davies.
According to the 1861 census -
Ann Bagley [nee Williams], age 34, was born Gwenddwr, Builth, Breconshire.
The Ann Williams, born Llangyfellach Glamorganshire is therefore NOT OUR
ANN. I now believe that our Ann Williams was born between late 1827 and
early 1829.
Wasn't the 1851 Census held in March and the 1861 Census held in June -
this
would account for age differences for a large number of people.
Note:- Since receiving the information - re 1861C, I have found that Ann
Bagley [nee Williams] may have died at age 47, in Hay, Breconshire. Death
certificate not yet obtained.
Her daughter, Susannah b. 23 Feb 1863 in pentresollers, Pipton, Talgarth,
Hay, Breconshire, died aged 49 on 14 May 1912, in St. Barrwgs Ter, Church
St., Bedwas, Newport, Monmouthshire.
We're getting there - sssllowllyy - "like British Rail" !?!.
TTFN
Shirley.
