The only sill question is one you don't know the answer to but your too
silly
to ask! As you have asked its not silly.
The answer is basically yes, although monumental inscriptions could also
include inscriptions on memorials other than tombstones - for example war
memorials, memorial benches or plaques placed on a church wall rather than
on the
grave of the deceased.
