It looks like Magdalen was a widow by 1901, as I cannot find Thomas Martin
on the 1901 census she was living with her son John
one of these was her daughter?

was in the US by 1901... at least if we're all on the same trail,

hope we are! Thomas Rees Martin was born Apr. 1867.
