Hi Cat,
Down just under the Entry 127 for Elizabeth, there is another for her
with the correct spelling on the town as Ystradgynlais, Brecon. That is
entry 131. If you click on the 'Family' link, you will see who this
person reported as Elizabeth's immediate family.
Now, this entry from Ancestral File is that compiled by an LDS member
that has submitted their info to the LDS for the IGI. By looking at the
records on-line for Ystradgynlais that have been indexed, I cannot
independently verify this information.
And independently verifying the information is what you *must* do to do
your job as an ancestor hunter! Relying on anyone else's research
without independently verifying for yourself is one of the largest
pitfalls one can fall prey to, although it is very tempting :-)
Primary records that the LDS have filmed for the area can be viewed at
your local LDS Family History Center. $3.75 (US) gets you access to the
film for 30-90 days, using the FHC's equipment at the center. You would
want to ask for the following films to begin:

Be aware the Ystradgynlais *may* have been where the family married,
christened and buried - but as Ystradgynlais is right on the Glamorgan
county border, you may have to do searches around that general
geographical area.
Start with the Bishop's Transcripts first, then move on to the
Non-conformist churches. If you need more help, we are happy to help
further. Please keep us updated on your progress as we can all learn and
benefit from it!
