Dear Lists,
I received Jack Hayes' query (see below) but have no research experience in
Breconshire so am posting this to the lists in hopes someone can provide an answer for
Jack.
Can anyone advise Jack Hayes on the MI's for Llanfrynach Parish Church or suggest
another possible burial ground ca. 1882 for people in that parish? I see Powys FHS, BRE
Group, have produced microfiche MI's, (1) Llanfrynach Church in Wales and (1) Mizpah
Baptist. Does anyone have these fiche who could look for Margaret HAYES and let Jack
know, please?
Alternatively, if the parish churchyard was done over, does anyone have access to the
Llanfrynach PR's to see if Margaret Hayes was, indeed, buried there in April 1882?
Best regards,
Julie Preston

Subject: Hayes in Llanfrynach
Hi ...... Julie
Just a chance?, do you know of the burials in Llanfrynach, Breconshire,
my family originated from IRELAND, but I know that one died in Llanfrynach, Margaret
Hayes, on April 3, 1882,at 4, River Row, Llanfrynach, Brecknock, aged 81, I have no data
on where she was buried? I have been to the church in Llanfrynach, but in the 1960s the
stones were moved and the burial area was grassed over, many of the stones were placed
against the church boundary walls, I looked for hours without any success!, is there any
information on any burials in the village at any church there?
Thanks for any help you might have......
best wishes ....... Jack Hayes, (Pencoed, Mid - Glamorgan)
