Hi Kate - (if this is a duplicate message, I apologize. Thought I sent
one a few minutes ago but couldn't find it in my confirmation of sent
messages).
Thanks so much for your reply. This family could be the one I'm looking
for but all I know for sure is that she (according to family oral
history) came from Glamorgan to Akron, Ohio, met Levi Morgan on the ship,
and they married.
Her death certificate from the State of Ohio clearly states her birthdate
of March 15, 1843, father J.P. Williams and mother Sarah Jones (both from
Wales). Her husband is listed as the informant of the vital statistics
on Ann. I know ... it's a need in a haystack and I have to find it and
then thread it with ancestors who MAY still be in Wales who could confirm
some of it. In the meantime I'm trying to find family records from a
family that is scattered from here to there and most not in touch with
each other. But I'll keep trying from this end also.
Sincerest thanks, Peggy Foight

<<I have found record of possibly the parents of Ann WILLIAMS, b.d. March

I had been looking for Ann in Glamorgan but not sure if I've been looking
in
the wrong place. Would someone please check the records to see if there
is
record of baptism/birth of Ann and further census records of the family?
Thanks.>>

Hi Peggy!
This (below) seems to be the best-fit family on the 1851 Brecon Census
CD,
for Ann WILLIAMS, aged 7/8, daughter of J Williams - but this family is
over
in Glamorgan, and the birthplaces are way out! There are plenty of other
girls of the right sort of age of that name, but all have fathers other
than
J (P) WILLIAMS.
What definite information do you have about your Ann WILLIAMS? If the
date
of birth came from her birth certificate, this would give you an address
at
the time of birth, as well as details about her parents. Which census
entries do you already have for her, and what do they give as her place
of
birth?
