Hi Paul
Many thanks for passing on the date you have.
I had also heard of this date and so spent some time scanning all the
'Abergavenny Chronicle' newspapers for 1956, but nothing materialised! So, I
think the actual date may be a year or so either side, but I'm not sure which
way.
If anyone else knows more, it would be great to hear.
Thanks for the offer of a copy of the pictures - I have a photocopy of the
earlier one from Thomas Lloyd's book, but would love to know who has the
original painting?
Best regards
Clive

Hi Clive!
Dan y Parc was demolished in 1956. This information is from "The lost
Houses of Wales" by Thomas Lloyd, which I have. There are a couple of
pictures of the mansion which I could scan if you wish.
Best wishes
Paul
