Apologies upfront for the blatant advert, but we have not yet managed to
get the website updated to show this new venture and feel that local
family historians may not get to find out about it.
During the spring and summer months of 2004, Shropshire Family History
Society will be offering you information and advice about researching
your family history, with the support of Shropshire Archives.
We will be in the Hobbs Room, at the entrance to Shrewsbury Library,
just up the road from the Archives.
Volunteer Society members look forward to sharing with you their
enthusiasm and their expertise.
What they can offer you
Help, Advice, Information, Contacts, Reference Material, Equipment,
Research Guides, Items Sale e.g. Booklets, Fiches, CDs, Maps & Books
and maybe even a cup of coffee.
The library is conveniently situated a short walk from the railway
station and a park-and-ride bus stop. These buses run frequently from
signposted car parks around the town, at Oxon, Meole Brace and
Harlescott.
The nearest car park to the library is at Raven Meadows.
When we are there:
from March 8th to September 11th, 2004 every week as follows
Tuesday 10 1 [except 16th and 23rd March]
Thursday 2 5
Saturday 10 1 [except 24th April and
