Hi...Linda
Sorry for the last message........ I have found them!!!!!
Have you purchased the page of the census? his father
could be living in the same house as Ruth, under another name!, you can also
look at the 1891 census in Newport, where the two brothers Albert and
William were four and five years old. as well you could find George there
too?
I have found
Edga Birth in Newport Monmouthshire December Quarter
1893 Ref :- 11a 187
Fredrick George Birth Chepstow Monmouthshire December Quarter 1890 Ref :-
11a 14
Ethel May Birth Newport Monmouthshire December Quarter 1889
Ref :-11a 216
Bertha Birth Newport Monmouthshire September Quarter 1893
Ref :- 11a 244
the two girls could have died by 1901?
Best wishes.......Jack

Subject: Re: [WLS-BRE] WILLIAM SANDFORD BRECON
Hello Jack
Thanks for your reply regarding my grandfather William Sandford in Brecon.
Yes he is the one on the 1901 in Chepstow - but apparently he was not born
in
Newport at all, as the census states. My problem is that I cannot find a
birth registration for him anywhere under the name William Sandford in the
GRO. His mother Ruth was unmarried and I do not know who was William's
father or where he was born. I can trace Ruth's family back to the early
1700's in Gloucestershire, but know so little about my grandfather which is
very frustrating.
Thankyou for trying to help
Linda
