I am new to this list and it seems that I missed a lot of things said

==================
Hi Tamara,
One of the reasons you may have had no response to your questions on the
Breconshire list is that it is new and has relatively few members. I
think you would do much better if you subscribe to the long-established
Powys List, which also covers Breconshire and which has far more
members, some of whom are experienced in Breconshire research.
To join the Powys List, simply send an e-mail to
Powys-L-request(a)rootsweb.com and type just the one word SUBSCRIBE into
the body of the e-mail. Within a few minutes you'll receive a reply
confirming your subscription and giving guidance on how to participate.
You can expect to receive 15-25 e-mails per day from the Powys list.
Another reason you may have had no response is that list members are
expecting you to tell them what records you have already searched. They
may be unwilling to spend time looking things up on your behalf only to
find you have searched the same records yourself with negative results.
You should always indicate which records you yourself have previously
searched.
I have answered your more specific queries off-list.
Best wishes,
John
