Hi Jack,
The parish was (in full) St John the Evangelist, Brecon. I have,
unfortunately only extracted all the clergy down to 1835, probably a little
early for you but the surname GARNON(S) figured quite highly amongst the
Welsh clergymen, including two William GARNONS. Are you sure that the name
was not GARNONS, William?
I'd be happy to expand on this if you like.
