My g-grandmother was Elizabeth VAUGHAN b. about 1872 - said to be 'from
Trelech' (Trelleck), died 1908 in Cardiff.
Her father was John Charles VAUGHAN 1839-1901, buried "Big Cemetery",
Merthyr Rd., Abergavenny, mother was Mary. John Charles's father was William
VAUGHAN 1793-1892, mother also Mary.
At times the John Charles family lived at Railway Inn, Brecon Rd.,
Abergavenny and at Primrose House, Park St., Abergavenny. John Charles
possibly worked on the Indian Railway.
1881 census has this family as a possible although there are some
inconsistencies as to John Charles's age, wife, etc. As you can see,
Elizabeth is said to have been born in Llangneddyr, Brecknock
