Hi Judith,
just noticed your posting on the Wales Brecon list, offering to do an 1881
lookup from your new CD!
I am searching for any DALLY/DALLEYs in Brecknock. My direct line ancestors,
William and Lucy Dall(e)y were at Beaufort, (Llangattock, Crickhowell)
district in 1851. They had moved to Porth (Glam) by 1881, however, I expect
that they would have had older children who may have stayed in Brecknock.
If you have any Dall(e)ys, I would love to know who they were and if poss.
what their addresses were!!
Cheers,
Gwyn Dalley.

Hi Cheryl,
If this is the list you saw my posting, I have tried to email you at
cherylanddave(a)one.net.au but it bounced back to me as UNKNOWN address.
I am sorry I don't recognise any of your names, but will file away your
details in case something transpires.
Best Wishes...Hazel
Maureen,
Well, I've only a few seconds before my next patient arrives so this will be
quick.
I too am doing Saunders Research in Brecon and will send you what I have plus
some other documents I transcribed. At this time I see no connections with my
info ... but it is nice to have a pile for references. Have you subscribed to
the Saunders/Sanders mail list? They are mostly USA but they all come from
across the pond.
Plus, I may be in Melbourne Australia and about, sometime soon and wouldn't
mind meeting.

Would someone look up in the Census for a Nicholas Nicholas born about
1830. His father was David Nicholas (no information of him). I only know
that Nicholas was married in 1855 in or around Aberdare. Not much
information except that registar wrote Brecon for the county.
Nicholas may have had a brother Thomas born about 1836???.

I am researching my Lewis ancestors of Llanafan fawr in Breconshire and
there are also the names Price and Powell although I have yet to work on
these names. My Lewis family
also went by the name of Simon owing to the patronymic system of naming. I
have yet to find anyone else admitting to being an ancestor of this family.
They terrorised their neighbours around the hills of Llanafan fawr!
Regards,
Margaret Harvey
