Hi All.Despite several attempts to send a message to this list[theyve all bounced back on
me]I am now trying the old fashioned way. That is to say,to tag onto the latest digest
message,to see if that
works?
Talking of "Works"brings me onto my letter....
My First cousin, several times removed upwards, was Wilfred WORK.He was a Lighthouse Keeper
aged 27 in 1901 census.
His residence was with his parents at Holyhead.Wilfred Was born 1874,at Ramsey,Isle of
Man.
Wilfred,s father was Sinclair WORK[born 1834,Shetland]Who was on the
"Lightship"Bahama Bank"Moored off the Isle of Man,in the 1881 census.
His wife Sarah[nee Evans, born 1838 Milford Haven]was at Home in Holyhead in 1881 looking
after the Kids.
The 1901 census sees Sinclair & Sarah,again in Holyhead.Sinclair is now a
Retired Master Mariner,aged 66.
Ive got both the WORK & EVANS lines back several Generations if anyone is connected?
What I need to know,is more information on Wilfred WORK,and his Job in the Lighthouse
Service?
Thankyou for bearing with me.
Graham.
