Dorothy,
Perhaps you should widen your search a bit. There are named streets in the
village I assure you -my cousin lives at 17 Ffordd Caradoc for example.
As to the informant - he could well be at that address for the formalities
and actually be living miles away. For example, when my ggrandfather died
in Llanberis[buried in Gaerwen just to complicate matters] in 1914, the
informant was his eldest son who, although listing Taid's address when
'informing' he was also recorded as"normally residing at Crewe,Lancs.".
Also
the local newspaper obituary indentified him in the same way.
Granted it doesn't relate directly to your case, but it shows some of the
possibilities.
Good hunting-hwyl fawr
John

Subject: [ANG] Hill St. 4Mile Bridge ??
Hi listers,
Just received a death certificate dated Jan 1912.
William Jones, Master Tailor, age 71 of 2 Hill Street, 4 Mile Bridge.
Informant:- Rowland Hugh Jones,Son,of the same address.
This is the first time I have seen a street named in the village, although
I
have lots of BMD certs & other records.
I took the details of the above death from the family gravestone, but I
have
no trace of the above named SON.
Could it be possible that two man with same name, age and trade died in
the
same week in this small village?
Looking for comments, suggestions or anything to enlighten me, please,
please.
Dorothy.
