I should like to hear from any subscribers who have researched or are
interested in families associated with the Henllys estate at Llanfaes.
In particular, I know something of Rev. Robert Edward Hampton (Jones), I believe second
child born 1779 to John Hampton Jones and Emma, daughter of Rev John Lewis of Plas
Llanfihangel, Rector of Llandegfan, who lived at Beaumaris.
Jones married, at Beaumaris in 1812, Susannah Dorothea Williams, daughter of John Williams
of Peniarth, co Merioneth.
Rev Robert and Susannah Jones served their lives in Port Louis, Mauritius.
I have seen the pedigrees of these families in Griffiths' Pedigrees of Anglesey and
Carnarvonshire Fami;ies (which contains at least two errors, I believe). I would like to
hear from anyone with more knowledge of their antecedents and, if possible, any children.
Cordially
Bill Webster
