stirred up interest in the family on this side of the family , and all
would like to learn more. I have the names and death dates of the parents,
1841 census and 1871 census. Also copies of the death cards or funeral
cards. The name is Robert Pritchard and Mary Hughes from Llangeinwen,
Anglesey, Wales (Hope I'm writing this right). In 1841 Robert was 40 and so
was his wife, there were 5 children: Ebenezer 12, Sarah 9, Ann 8, Dorothy
6, Ellis 4, and Robert's mother Ann living with them. The 1871 census just
showed his wife Mary aged 73 with est. birth year 1798, civil parish:
Beaumaris, town Beaumaris ,County Anglesey, living alone and looks like it
says she is a pauper.
Mary was still living at Dyffryn, Llangeinwen in 1871 with the
family of her widowed daughter Dorothy.

In an earlier posting, you wrote that Mary Pritchard was buried at
Glanogwen, Bethesda, Caernarfonshire in October 1879. You could expect that
she had moved there to be with another of her children prior to her death.
Her death certificate might confirm this and her gravestone inscription
might also provide a hint. You could ask on the Caernarfonshire list
for help.

There is a gravestone inscription in Dwyran Chapel graveyard, Llangeinwen
Er cof am/ ROBERT PRITCHARD/ Dyffryn/ yr hwn
a fu farw Medi 14eg 1865/ yn 66 mlwydd oed
[In memory of Robert Pritchard/ Dyffryn/ who

which suggests a typo somewhere. Another gravestone nearby has
Er cof am/ ANNE PRITCHARD/ yr hon a fu farw Ionawr 1860/ yn 81 oed
[In memory of Anne Pritchard who died January 1860 aged 81]
Could this be the Ann Pritchard aged 60 who lived with the family
at Dyffryn at the time of the 1841 census ?
