Do you know the names of their children?
I have a Mary Jones b. c.1830 on Anglesey. She married Capt. John
Williams and their only child was my ggrrandmother Mary Jane Williams
(b.1852).
I have a hint that maybe her father was a Lewis Jones, mariner from
Holyhead, but can't be certain.
I have tried for a marriage cert. but there are far too many
Williams-Jones marriages and I have the wrong certs twice. If she came
from a seafaring family, the marriage could have been anywhere in the
U.K.

Subject: Help! Jones Owens Wedding
Hi All,
It's payday, and that means certificates. I'm down to my last few
meaningful
ones though, and there's one I just cannot find, and I'm wondering if
anyone
can apply a bit of lateral thinking to the problem.
Heres what I know:
Thomas Jones b.c. 1816 in Llanerchymedd (shoemaker)
Jane (Gaynor) Owens b.c. 1826 Beaumaris/Llanddona/Llangoed (depending
where
stated)
Eldest Child b. 22 May 1848 Llanerchymedd (Got birth cert)
So a marriage most likely 1845-47 in Anglesey.
The problem is, I can't see one in the indices anywhere. I tried via
Dafydd
Haynes on genfair, and he couldn't find them in his indices, though he
did
also look at the civil registry, and came up with a possible in 1849, but
that's a touch too late.
Anybody got any ideas?
TIA,
Paul.
