Susannah Dorothea JONES died at Marylebone, London, 16 JAN 1875.
Born c. 1792, possibly at Beaumaris.
Daughter of John WILLIAMS, of Peniarth ucha (formerly called Pen Glassan
and
Bryn Glassan) in Llanegryn, and of Gaynor THOMAS, daughter of William
THOMAS
of Coed Helen and of Dorothy WYNN.
Her WILLIAMS siblings: William; John Freke Lloyd; Robert Vaughan Wynn;
Gaynor; Eliza Lucy; Sidney; Margaret Mary.
Married at Beaumaris by licence 22 JAN 1812 to (Revd) Robert Edward JONES,
2nd son of John HAMPTON JONES, of HENLLYS, Llan-faes (family name later
becoming HAMPTON LEWIS), and of Emma LEWIS, daughter of (Revd) John LEWIS,
of Plas Llanfihangel Tre'rbreirdd.
Susannah Jones had at least 2 children. At the time of death, her
daughter,
Anna Maria Sidney Wilhelmina Webster, was widowed and living in NSW.
There
was also a son, Henry Berkely JONES, born 1813, who was last known to be a
magistrate in Mauritius in 1837 when his father died there.
No burial of Susannah Jones has been discovered at any cemetery that would
have been used for someone living at Marylebone. Therefore, it may be
worth
considering that her remains were returned to Wales.
May I ask if someone could steer me to any records that may be available
on
a possible funeral and/or burial in the second half of January 1875, most
likely at Llan-faes or Beaumaris but quite possibly at any of the
locations
connected with her family above?
