Hi Bev,
you do have a few possibilities. You don't say when your great great grandfather was
born, so its difficult to estimate a possible year of his marriage.
The best and easiest way is to buy yor great grandfathers birth certificate. That will
have his mothers name on it - unless he was born prior to 1837!
Otherwise you will have to rely on Parish Records. And then there are certain
difficulties! If he has a relatively common name such as William Parry or Hugh Williams,
then fun and frustration is pre-programmed. If your great grandfather was born prior to
1837, and was baptised in the parish church, you might be lucky and find not only his
baptism, but also the names of both parents. Most of the PR entires in Anglesey had both
parents names.
However, if the family were non-conformist, then there could be difficulties. A lot of
these records are missing.
Another possibility would be to find where he is buried, and hope he had a headstone.
Chances are he will be buried with his wife, so you will have not only her name, but
probably also when she was born.
You could do worse than to contact Llangefni archives and ask them. I have found them
very helpful.

Hi,
I have been trying to trace my family, and have had very little luck,my Great Great
Grandfather is from Llanerchymedd, living in Rhodogeidio in the 1841,1851 census. My problem
is that in the 1851 census he is listed as a widower and in the 1841 census there is no
wife either. So I do not have any way of finding the wife's name.Is there anybody out
there who can make a suggestion,I am not sure where to go from here.
Thanks
Bev
