I am wondering whether anyone has access to Brynsiencyn records
as I am interested in a Thomas Gibson of Brynsiencyn, Anglesey,
who lived in 1794. He was a Burgess of Caernarfon (thanks Keith
for that!) and is followed in Caernarfon's mini census of 1794
by a John Gibson and family who, I think, included my ancestor
Jane Gibson.
Of course, I would be interested to see if there was a relationship
and, interestingly, there was a famous Gibson family of
Newborough/Llanidan which gave rise to John Gibson RA,
a sculptor, born in Gyffin and living and dying in Italy.
Any possible help much appreciated!
Ian,
According to the Gwynedd FHS transcription there were four Gibson
marriages in Llanidan
1764.12.09 GIBSON John of Llanidan to THOMAS Grace of LLanidan, Banns
1773.01.07 GIBSON Thomas of Llanidan to THOMAS Anne of Llanidan, Banns
1785.09.13 GIBSON John, widower of Llanidan to ROBERTS Mary of Llanidan, Banns
1787.10.30 LLOYD Edward, widower of Llansadwrn to GIBSON Mary, singlewoman of Llanidan,

I couldn't find any Gibsons in the transcription of gravestones at
Old St Nidan's or the new church at Brynsiencyn.
