I don't think that my amswer will be of much help but the only hospital
locally that perhaps could have dealt with such a problem was the
Caernarvonshire & Anglesey Hospital at Bangor that is now the Ysbyty
Gwynedd [hospital] [or C & A Infirmary as I saw it referred to in one
census] But whether they could have dealt with such an operation I wouldn't
know - but if a wealthy Welshman paid for the surgery perhaps the child was
sent to one of the Liverpool hospitals
As to the patients records from that period I couldn't tell but I have never
heard that such records now exist. I would be very surprised. As you don't
know the name of the hospital for sure it makes it even more difficult. For
information about the C&A hospital you could contact the Gwynedd Record
Office at Caernarfon to see what exists

Subject: [AGY] Llanfair PG area Hospital?
If a patient were residing in Llanfair PG, what hospital would
he/she
most likely attend in the 1860's? (Small child, pediatric surgery for
club feet)?
And does anyone know if patient records exist for that time frame? If so,
how does one go about getting copies (I'm in the US)?
I was told the child's surgery had been paid by a wealthy Welshman. Are
there any books, like a "who's who" for Wales in the 1860's? (I have a
niggling suspicion the man's first name may have been Charles.)
Thank you,
