There is a society for those who have railwaymen as ancestors ! I can't
remember the name off-hand, but you should be able to find it on Google or
similar ! You might be able to find something there. Worth a try anyway !

My great Grandfather Edward EVANS b Holyhead c 1854 died in a
railwat
accident at Penmaenmawr North Wales on 12/13 January 1899
He was the engineer on a goods train coming from Manchester to Holyhead
and there was a wash out of the track outside the Holyhead end of the
tunnel at
Penmaenmawr . He and his stoker died in the water . The guaard and
guest, another guard en route Holyhead survived. Any further
information would be
appreciated.
