Lindsay,
I'm going to forward your information to my cousin who owns both 3 & 5 Ogwen
Terrace, Bethesa. He is a Jones and the family has been in the area for generations. Let
me see what he has to say. Hopefully, there is a connection.
Arlene

Hello Everyone I know it's a long shot but does anyone have this family in their
tree?: 1871 Census: 5 Ogwen Terrace, Bethesda, Caernarfonshire, Wales - RG10/5732/60/11

JONES S 2 - Scholar Carnarvon, BethesdaMary JONES D 1 - Scholar Carnarvon,
BethesdaMary JONES Servant 15 - - Anglesey, AmlwchCatherine OWENS Servant 13 - - - Evan
and Mary Jones are my gggrandparents. Evan lived and had his tailor's shop at 5 Ogwen
Terrace from 1850s to at least 1901, having moved from Llanallgo/Penrhosllugwy in the
late
1840s. Mary Jones was also a Jones !
before she was married, her parents Hugh Jones and Anne Thomas were from Anglesey
(Amlwch). Anne, their daughter was my ggrandmother. She married in 1889 in Capel Bethesda
and moved to Blaenau but died in 1890 when she was only 30. Does anyone recognise her
parents Evan or Mary or any of her brothers and sisters?
