The Eliz Thomas age 6 on 1881 census is back with her parents Robert and
Emma thomas at Pentre Garreg in 1891. Robert is found in censuses as
follows-
all in Llan M E
1841 Adwy Goch
1851 Fron Uchaf
1861 Pant y Bugail
1901 Bryn Llan
A book "The Welsh Builders on Merseyside" was published 1945 - large
housing developments in Liverpool were in the hands of Welsh builders at
one time, especially Anglesey builders. There is no mention of your Ed
Williams but the following will be of interest to you.
_Richard, William and Owen Thomas.
_ Three brothers who came from Bryn Llan, Llan M E. In 1900 under the
style of Thomas Brothers they built houses in Seaforth, Litherland and
Aintree. Directly after the South African War Richard emigrated to Cape
Town for a period and died shortly after his return to this country.
Owen and William about the same time emigrated to Canada or the USA.
In 1901 we find at 10 Warburton Rd Seaforth -
Richard Thomas H M 29 Joiner/bldr/carpenter b Llan M E.
Ellen Thomas W M 24 b Seaforth.
Emma Thomas (b1840) died 19 Feb 1927 and was buried at Llaneugrad.
