There are only two Ann(e) Davies marrying William Hughes on Anglesey between
July 1837 and April 1937, they are:-
DAVIES Ann HUGHES William 1882 31-Jan
Anglesey East 4 87 174 she was a widow, her father was Evan
Hughes (deceased)
DAVIES Anne HUGHES William 1891 26-Oct
Llannerch-y-medd 1 97 193 her father was John Davies
So these do not fit your Davies family.
I haven't got anywhere near 1870's yet with my index of the births on
Anglesey but I went through the birth books page by page for Amlwch and
found the following;-
31 July 1879 Catherine daughter of William Hughes, farm labourer and Ann
formerly Roberts was born at Tynygate, Amlwch. Amlwch book 16 page 15 entry
75.
So she was not a Davies. Sorry this is negative help but that is also a step
forward. Best wishes Dave

Subject: [AGY] Hughes family - Amlwch
Ann Davies (b. 1840) is the sister of my great-great-grandfather, William
Davies. Their father was David Davies b. Llandyfrydog in 1811.
I am hoping someone can confirm that Ann Davies married William Hughes in
abt. 1876 (unable to find cert as yet). I have found the family in the
1881,
1891 and 1901 census but need to confirm it is the correct Ann (Davies).
Anyone researching this HUGHES family?
This is the 1891 info:
Gallt, Gorslwyd, Amlwch
William Hughes, age 64, b. Amlwch
Ann Hughes, age 52, b. Llandyfrydog,
Kate Hughes, daughter, age 12, b. Amlwch
John Hughes, son, age 10, b. Amlwch
Elizabeth Hughes, Dau. age 7, b. Amlwch
Annie Mary Hughes, dau, age 4, b. Amlwch
By 1901 William has died and Ann is living with her daughter Annie.
