Thanks for your reply,
The ages in the census returns for Beddau Mawr are consistent with Elin
having been born in 1821. I didn't find it easy to work out the
reference under the "full age column", unless it is under, as she would
have been only 20, not 21 when she married. Interestingly her mother
Jane, if her age in the 1851 census is right, was only 19, when she was
born. (I will have to wait until my next holiday, in June, before I can
have an opportunity to check whether the 1861 and 1871 census bears this
out).

Iolo, you give the marriage date of John and Elin, does that mean you
have
seen the entry? If so what does it say under the statement; of full age for
Ellin. It seems to say in .unce, I can't make out the first letter, it looks
a bit like Dunce! Dave

I would be grateful for any information on the following family, who
appear in the 1841 and 1851 census at Trefollwyn Blas, Llangefni.
John Williams, who was born in 1794 in Llanfihangel Tre'r Beirdd, and
his wife, born in Llandygai in 1802, according to the 1851 census. Their
daughter Elin had married John Parry in February of 1841, and in the
census of 1891 her birthplace is also given as Llanfihangel Tre'r Beirdd.
Unfortunately being in full-time work, getting to Llangefni to check the
censuses and parish registers is not as easy as I would like, so I would
be grateful for any information.
Thanks,
Iolo
