Here's what I know about John Jones: In the 1861 census, we lived on
Brickfield St. and was 30 years old, listed as a ship's hobbler. He had
married Mary Williams, Oct. 1856. She was born in Llandyfrydog They had 3
children, Hugh, 3yrs, John 2 yrs and Elizabth 1. In 1871, they were at 91
Lon Wen, Amlwch, Mary was listed as a mariner's wife, there were 2 more
children: Ann 8 yrs(my g.grandmother) and Thomas 6 yrs. I believe John was
at sea. Then in 1881 census, Ann is listed as head, 21 yrs, living with
mother Mary, a grocer. They were living on Methusalem St. That is all that I
have so far.

You will appreciate that John Jones is a very common name in Wales,
however, if you have any further details to help me I will try to help you
with
local searches. Dave Crawford
