Hello Hefin
Many thanks for the wealth of information concerning Warren WILLIAMS'
family, both in this post and in the attachments you sent me off-list - very
much appreciated.
I've now established (via a copy birth certificate) that 'Warren' was in
fact born plain Hugh on 15 November 1860 at 109 Mann Street, Toxteth Park,
Liverpool, son of John WILLIAMS (seaman on the Crosby lightship) and
Elizabeth WILLIAMS formerly LLOYD.
The knowledge that he was a born-and-bred 'scouser' goes some way to
explaining the rumours that he took up painting in order to finance his
penchant for beer. :-)
I'm not aware of any of Warren WILLIAMS' works being on public display
anywhere, but happen to know that a prominent fellow-member of the
Anglesey list is the proud owner of one of them.
Best regards
Gordon
(born-and-bred scouser)

Hello Gordon. I am not related to your family but I have lots of
info.
About 25 years ago I went to Lake Crystal Minnesota and stayed with a
descendant of Henry Williams (who married Mgt Jones).
Livia and Emlyn Jones had been to Anglesey and probably went to
Bodwarren. They also visited relations of mine in Rhosneigr and it was
from Nan Jones that I got their address.
I have a copy of a handwritten letter to Livia and Emlyn from another
member of their family named Jane Cameron Wilde of Cameron, S Carolina.
In it she has lots of info about your family, all of which she stated
had been proved.
For example she says that Hugh Wms was the grandson of Gabriel Wms born
1765 who married Lizabeth David.Their son Hugh born 12 June 1748 died
1827 married Eliz Jones in 1773. They had a son Hugh born 3/8/1787 who
married Dorothy Jones (dau of Thomas and Eliz Hughes Jones) on 18 Dec
1812.
There is _lots_ more info. which I can let you have.
I am off on holiday on Sunday for 2 weeks so may not be able to do
anything till I get back.

Rapid amendment to previous post - it was Henry (not Hugh) WILLIAMS (born
