Hello, I am new to the list and am having trouble finding the
following family on censuses, apart from 1841. I am wondering if the parish (Penmynydd)
changed its name and so I need to enter something else into the search box?
Owen Owen/s b c1789, possibly Llandegfan/Llansadwrn
d 1864 (aged 75, of Braint)
Mary (wife) b c1792, d 1860 (aged 68, of Braint)
Edward b c1826
Hariot b c1829
Thomas b c1830, d 1884 (aged 54, of Braint)
Owen b c1832
Anne b c1836, m Daniel Jones,
d 1862 (aged 26, of Brynteg, Llanidan)
William b c 1836
According to the 1841 census, they were all born Anglesey.
Please would someone be able to give me a pointer as to how to find them on the censuses
- I have tried by name with no luck so would like to try by address ie Penmynydd.
Owen's parents were:
Edward Owen (b Aber c 1758, d 1816 of Bodenog/Bodenoch
Llandegfan)
Ann Evans ( b Caerhun c1757, d 1829 of Bodenog, Llandegfan)
He had siblings:
Richard Owen bap 1780 (who lived at Caerhun)
Henry Owen b c1784 (who married Mary and lived at Tan'r Allt,
Aber)
Edward Owen (who married and had a son Edward and lived at
Bwlchgwyn, Pentre Berw)
William Owen
Evan Owen
Mary Owen
Jane Owen (who married John Rowland of Cadnant and had
6/7children)
Ann Owen (who married John Jones 1829-1834)
I am also having trouble with Pentre Berw, so would be glad of a pointer for census
searching for that parish too, please.
Any assistance with any of these Owens would be very gratefully received. (I have
browsed through the Anglesey Archives in case anyone else has been looking for them too,
but no luck as yet! I tried to contact someone offering Penmynydd lookups, but had my
email returned.)
Many thanks for reading this request,
Judith Mair (N.London)
