Hello everyone,
I have located a marriage for an Owen Pary and Grace Edward in Llanddona in 1754 and
wondered if anyone else might be researching this family?
They moved to Abergwyngregyn to raise their family of 4/5 children - Henry b 1756,
Edward 1758, Anne b 1760 and John b 1762, after which date Grace died. (There was also a
son Owen but I cannot find his baptism in Aber, so it is possible he was born at
Llanddona, or his name was misrecorded as John.)
It would seem that Owen Par(r)y was the son of Henry Owen of Wern, Llanddona, as his
(Henry's) Will (made 30.3.1763) mentions Owen and his 4 children.
Henry's wife (who outlived him) was Anne Jones and he also had a brother Richard
Owen. In his Will he mentions lands called Tyddyn Bach, parish of Llanddona.
I have also found a Will of 1773 for an(other) Anne Jones of Cremlyn, Llanddona, who
I believe to be Grace Edward's mother. She mentions a daughter Jane Edwards and sons
John and Richard Edwards. It would seem her husband was Edward Owen, whose Will dated 1752
gives him as being of Wern.
It could be that Henry Owen and Edward Owen were brothers, and is so Owen Parry and Grace
Edward would have been cousins.
If anyone has Henry Owen, Anne Jones and Owen Parry, or Edward Owen, Anne Jones and
Grace Edwards in their family tree I would love them to contact me please. Or if anyone
has access to the Llanddona PRs and would be able to look these folk up, I would be very
grateful!
Many thanks for any interest/ suggestions/ information,
